San Calavera from the Santa Muerte Series, is a strainer based in the Santa Muerte religion born in Mexico and influenced by Aztec roots and veneration rites of Our Lady of Holy Death.
Santa Muerte is both a religion and a culture, and many of its followers remain Catholic. It is a very spiritual culture that is exemplified by personal or family prayers and rituals.It began and has remained a backbone of working class, criminal class and youth due to its predominant motif of both honoring death and triumphing over it.
This strainer was made after bartenders around the world mentioned their strainers being stolen during their shift.Hence the two falling strainers from the hands of the Nuestra Señora de la Santa Muerte. Sold out editions cannot be reproduced so be sure it is not stolen or if it is be sure to pray to the San Calavera for swift justice to the thief.
